Beer & Grill Howzit runs over two floors under the elevated railway at Sannomiya station in Kobe, part of the EKIZO complex. Stelapop, our recycled denim panel, is used here in two colours: Woad along the main bar, and customised Chambray on the round tables.

The Woad bar is finished with a multi-layer matte lacquer to give it long term durability in the demanding bar environment. The rich detail of the material brings a natural but soft feeling to the customers sat at the bar.

The round tables in the booths use a bespoke Chambray, made to order with the addition of some brightly coloured terrazzo style flecks.

Each panel is 70 per cent reclaimed denim, the offcuts left over from cutting jeans at Saitex. That is about 14kg of textile waste per panel, the equivalent of roughly 35 pairs.

Novo Nordisk's Bangkok office takes a floor of Sathorn Square, with Stelapop in two colourways across the staff dining area: Indigo on the round tables, and Starch on the pantry counter.   Stelapop is a versatile material and this project took advantage of this with two different approaches. The tables were made at 20mm thickness and supplied complete with their bases, finished off site rather than assembled in place.   The counter is Starch, a near white, made of 5mm sheets with curved ends. The thickness of the counter was created by bending a strip and joining it to the top, a practical way to construct a larger counter. This carries the surface down the face so the counter reads as a thick solid slab. The denim is offcut from jeans production at Saitex and makes up 70 per cent of each panel. The binder is water based, with no formaldehyde, no silica, and no VOC content.

For this London bathroom, Lia Cramer Design used two Foresso colours. A custom burgundy runs across the floor and skirting, and the vanity shelf is finished in the paler Bianco London Plane. The burgundy is a bespoke binder, mixed to order with oak wood chips set into this deep red ground. Bianco London Plane is one of our standard colourways, with pale London plane chips in a light binder. The floor was laid using full sheets cut to suit and fixed through the face to ensure long term stability. Once fixed the screw heads were covered with a colour matched filler and joins filled with a RAL coloured silicone, giving flexibility and sealing to the floor. Every chip is reclaimed British wood, and the burgundy binder was hand mixed for this room alone.

Belowground is an art, design, and fashion concept space in Hong Kong where Bianco London Plane, our timber terrazzo, lines the fitting rooms. The walls, the reveals around the openings, and the cube benches are all faced in the same pale wood terrazzo. Each fitting room is a small room clad in Bianco London Plane from floor to ceiling, set over deep blue or yellow carpet. A Foresso-faced cube sits inside as a bench. Bianco London Plane sets rich wood chips in a pale binder. The wood chips are made from reclaimed British wood, all of it from London street trees taken down as part of city maintenance. On the shop floor the same terrazzo faces freestanding cube benches, set among the rails, plywood, and panels of coloured glass.
