Novo Nordisk's Bangkok office takes a floor of Sathorn Square, with Stelapop in two colourways across the staff dining area: Indigo on the round tables, and Starch on the pantry counter.
Stelapop is a versatile material and this project took advantage of this with two different approaches. The tables were made at 20mm thickness and supplied complete with their bases, finished off site rather than assembled in place.
The counter is Starch, a near white, made of 5mm sheets with curved ends. The thickness of the counter was created by bending a strip and joining it to the top, a practical way to construct a larger counter. This carries the surface down the face so the counter reads as a thick solid slab.
The denim is offcut from jeans production at Saitex and makes up 70 per cent of each panel. The binder is water based, with no formaldehyde, no silica, and no VOC content.
